Q1) What is the KMAD broadcast area?

A1)
Worldwide baybeee!

Q2) Okay, well where is Springfield located?

A2)
Springfield is wherever you want it to be.  Kind of like the old saying "Home is where the heart is".  Our heart is in Springfield.

Q3) No seriously, in which U.S. State is Springfield located?

A3)
All of them.... okay, not really all of them, but 35 out of 50.

ALABAMA, ALASKA, ARIZONA, ARKANSAS, CALIFORNIA, COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, HAWAII, IDAHO, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, IOWA, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, LOUISIANA, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSISSIPPI, MISSOURI, MONTANA, NEBRASKA, NEVADA, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW MEXICO, NEW YORK, NORTH CAROLINA, NORTH DAKOTA, OHIO, OKLAHOMA, OREGON, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA, SOUTH DAKOTA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS, UTAH, VERMONT, VIRGINIA, WASHINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA, WISCONSIN, WYOMING

Q4) So you have radio stations and broadcast towers in all of those U.S. States?

A4)
Uhh... not exactly.  What do we look like, ClearChannel?

Q5) Well in which State *is* your station and broadcast tower located?

A5)
None of them.

Q6) So you say you've got a worldwide broadcast area but your station & tower aren't located in any of the U.S. States?  What does that mean?

A6)
KMAD is what's known as an "internet radio station".  Anybody with internet access can listen to the KMAD broadcasts and enjoy the KMAD playlist whenever they want from wherever they want.  There are no physical facilities like those used by a locally broadcast radio station.

Q7) Okay.  I think I get it now.  So why don't you "Keep Riverside Rockin'"?  There are cities named "Riverside" in 46 U.S. States.  That's more than Springfield's 35.

A7)
We chose Springfield because it is more commonly thought of as Anytown USA.  It's where the family in "Father Knows Best" lived, as well as the families from "The Guiding Light" and "The Simpsons"

Q8) So you're not really broadcasting on 99.7 FM?
